Training

As announced at the 14th Annual Meeting, the CRL will offer a yearly training course in diagnostic techniques for identification of listed fish diseases.

The coming course will take place in the laboratories of the CRL in Aarhus in the period between 24 January and 4 February (week 4-5) 2011.

The course will primarily be for NRL staff. NRL staff will not be charged a course fee. Participants from other laboratories will be charged a course fee. All participants have to cover other expenses (travel, hotel, food etc.) themselves.

The course will cover training in several diagnostic topics – e.g. PCR, cell culture, antibody based diagnostics - the topics will depend on what participants ask for. Therefore other topics may also be offered and it is possible that one or more topics are not offered because of lack of interest. Participants do not have to follow all topics but can choose parts of the program.

Please send us an email latest 1 October if you would like to participate in the training course and please indicate what topics you wish to attend.

Of practical reasons we will have to limit the total number of participants to about 6-10 according to topics included. As this will be a yearly course, participants that cannot attend the training course this year, will be offered to participate in a coming course.

When we know how many people will attend the training course and in which topics we will make a detailed program where the dates for the individual topics will be specified. That means that the training in different topics will take place at certain days in the period between 24 January and 4 February and participants will not necessary have to stay in the laboratory for the whole period. The program will be send to participants for confirmation. The deadline for confirmation of participation will be 15 October.
